The law on combating late payments
in commercial transactions
has been amended

The Law of 2 August 2002 on combating late payment in commercial transactions has recently been amended by the Law of 22 November 2013 (Belgian Official Gazette of 10 December 2013) pursuant to the implementation of the European Directive 2011/7/EU by the Belgian legislator. The new law entered into force on 16 March 2013.

Creditors with a disputed claim are now
protected in case of capital restructuring

In order to preserve the rights of the creditors with a disputed claim in case of certain capital restructuring measurements, the possibility to claim security standing and to claim joint and several liability claim will now be guaranteed.

the Crossroads bank of Enterprises

The Crossroads bank of Enterprises has the authority to officially cross out companies from the Crossroads bank of Enterprises, who have, during three consecutive financial years, omitted to depose their annual accounts at the Central Balance sheet Office of the National Bank of Belgium.
